California - Day 3

DAY in Temecula:  Had lunch at Chick fil A with Aunt Nancy and Emma.

Came home and the kids were begging to go outside and go swimming - so, they did.

Reef even got in on the action!

Coral & Hani came over to play -

Since the kids were freezing, I warmed up the bathtub and let them go swimming in that -
I could hardly get them out!

I think they're having a good time....

California - Day 2

Disneyland day.  I'm just going to post the pictures.  Because really they speak for themselves.  We had a Great Day!  The kids had a Great Day!
We even stayed for the parade -

California - Day 1

Usually on Sundays we sleep in because theres no one at home but Bob, me, and Reef.  This morning was a little different.  At 6:30 we starting hearing little voices and little feet running around the house.
When we came into the kitchen this is what we found:
I had bought Kiley a dress to wear to church and she wanted to try it on last night but I told her to wait until the morning.  So, here she is in her new dress that she put on all by herself.  Ashton was having fun with his pokemon and skylander cards.
*********************************************************************************

I had told the kids about these green smoothies that I make and they wanted to help out.  They even told me they would drink it.

Well, they did enjoy putting the ingredients into the blender.....

See Ashtons face - he's so interested in seeing how this whole process works.

But then he saw the color and wasn't so sure anymore....

He was a good sport and drank a little bit of the smoothie.
Kiley loved hers and drank it all up!
 YUMMY!

Then Grandpa made pancakes - heart pancakes, snowmen pancakes, star pancakes....a lot of pancakes.
They ate up real good!
We all went to church and our grandkids were the best behaved children there!

When we came home from church, we ate lunch in the backyard - (very warm day)
Me and the kids played hide and seek -
Then Grandpa & Kiley & Reef went for a walk and met some horses -
Kiley got to feed one of the horses some mints.

We had Grandma Ford over for dinner tonight:  Spaghetti -
The kids loved it and were great eaters.
And they were both in bed by 8:15 (and asleep 5 minutes later)
THEY WERE TIRED!

California Trip

This past weekend was a busy one!  I flew to Salt Lake City and picked up Ashton.  Bob flew back to North Carolina and picked up Kiley.  We're going to have a week long adventure with our two oldest grandchildren.  SO EXCITED!
When Bob got Kiley, he was lucky enough to go to her Karate class -  She's an orange belt!
This is pretty funny - on Saturday Bob and Kiley left Havelock and drove 3 hours to the airport in Raleigh.  During the drive, Kiley asked Bob if she could see his phone.  He figured that she was going to play a game.  When they got to the airport, Bob was looking at his phone and was taking pictures of Kiley.  When he went back to look at his pictures, he noticed about 50 pictures Kiley had been taking while she was supposed to be playing games.  Most of them he deleted - but he said they were of the car, her foot, the seat back, etc....  Here are Kileys pictures that he did save:

We are looking so forward to this week - should be fun - I'll try to keep the blog posted each day with our adventures -

QUEENSTOWN - Part II

I went HANG GLIDING!!!

(Bob didn't want to go, so I went with a couple friends from our tour group).

It was SO much Fun!!!

Thursday - QUEENSTOWN

MY FAVORITE DAY OF ALL!

We are in Queenstown - the birthplace of Bungee -
At first I thought it would be cool to Bungee but then I saw a video and I thought I would be jerked around so much that I would have neck & back problems and I really didn't want that.

So, first thing we did was take the Gondola up to the top of a mountain - Bob wasn't around when I purchased the tickets for the Gondola, so I purchased 2 Luge tickets along with the gondola ride up - it was a better deal than buying luge tickets by themselves.  (Bob didn't really want to do the Luge, but since I already bought the tickets, he felt compelled to go along with it.)

These 2 pictures are views atop the mountain -

Bob is very competitive - and when we did the luge, he was trying to bump my luge but instead he ended up flipping his over on top of himself.
He cut up his shirt and got some massive goose egg on his leg, and some major bruises on his chest -............

What happened on the luge was not the reason this post started out with - MY FAVORITE DAY OF ALL!

Its what happened at 3pm.....
